Named in honor of the Father of the United States Army Air Forces, the North American B-25 Mitchell was a workhorse of the USAAF Medium Bomber Force in the Mediterranean and Pacific Theatres of Operation.
 
The B-25J being restored by the Warbirds of Glory Museum when complete will represent B-25J to honor the ship and crew of 43-27537 “8Z” of the 340th Bomb Group, 488th Bombardment Squadron that was lost on a mission over Italy in March, 1945.
